Will my insurance company give me a discount if I install an automatic
gas shutoff valve?
Please speak directly with your insurance agent to see if your insurance
company will give you a discount on your annual premium.
Do I need to be present for installation?
It is recommended, but not mandatory. As long as we can reach your gas
or propane line, we can install the valve without you being present. However,
your gas appliances will need to be re-lit after installation. In order
for us to do this, we need access to your gas appliances (water heater).
Most gas stoves automatically re-light.
Does the valve need to be reset after it is triggered?
Yes, the valve needs to be reset. The process for resetting is very simple
and clearly marked on the front of the valve. Upon installation, our professionals
will show you how the valves can be manually reset.
